The Darkhold is a book of dark magic that the world’s greatest sorcerers tried to keep sealed. Now it’s open.
The dark side of the Marvel Universe has been unleashed! Hel is empty, and its devils, sorcerers and vampire-hunting vampires are all here.
A New Story Written for Magic
For this Universes Beyond set, Wizards of the Coast isn’t adapting an existing story. The team worked with Marvel to create a brand-new story set in the Marvel Universe, with Marvel’s characters told the Magic way.
The story unfolds across the cards in the set. It hops between dimensions, uncovers the secrets of the Dark Dimension and brings in Marvel’s gods as allies. Several Super Heroes and Super Villains will also make their Magic debut with this set.
A Comic Book Introducing a New Character
The set introduces a brand-new character, whose origin will be told in a new Marvel comic written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly. Magic’s Narrative team created the story, and the two writers adapted it.
