The two following cards are now illegal for official Classic Constructed tournament play as of Friday, October 23 2026. This decision came after the conclusion of Week 4 of Pro Quest: London.
Arakni, Marionette
Arakni, Flesh and Blood’s first Chaos hero, has reached Living Legend status. Released in The Hunted in 2025, Arakni was introduced as part of Volcor’s quest to avenge their fallen Emperor. The hero used six Agents of Chaos to force opponents to keep adapting to changing gameplay.
Arakni’s strategy relied on marking opponents with powered-up dagger attacks, supported by lethal reactions such as Tarantula Toxin, which put opponents in constant guessing games. Aggressive, disruptive and unpredictable, Arakni quickly became the most dangerous Assassin in the game and won a Pro Tour in the hands of Jacob Clements.
Arakni crossed the 1000-point threshold at the end of Week 4 of Pro Quest: London. As a result, Arakni, Marionette and their signature weapon, Hunter’s Klaive, are no longer legal in official Classic Constructed tournaments.
Fai, Rising Rebellion
Fai, one of Flesh and Blood’s first two Draconic heroes, has also reached Living Legend status. Released in Uprising in 2022, Fai brought a new level of aggression to the Ninja class. His playstyle was extremely fast and explosive, combining efficient go again attacks, a recurring Phoenix Flame, searchable attacks and powerful damage boosts like Art of War. This consistent aggression, rarely matched by other heroes, eventually led him to a World Championship win.
Some of the cards that enabled his big turns were later retired, but Fai came back with new support in The Hunted and later in Compendium of Rathe. These additions let him use Phoenix Flame in new ways and gain value from the wide range of Draconic cards that work with his strategy. Fai ends his four-year run as an aggressive but well-rounded deck that built a strong fan base around the world.
Fai also crossed the 1000-point threshold at the end of Week 4 of Pro Quest: London. As a result, Fai, Rising Rebellion and his signature weapon, Searing Emberblade, are also no longer legal in official Classic Constructed tournaments.
