Wizards of the Coast recently published its highly anticipated article revealing the sets coming out in 2027. Good news for fans: the company confirmed that 2027 will be "the Year of the Gathering," specifying that there will be, throughout the year, plenty of reasons and occasions to gather for the love of the game. The company also announced the release structure for upcoming sets. We'll see an alternation between the Magic Multiverse and Universes Beyond as a way of returning to a balance. Here, in order, are the three next Multiverse sets confirmed for the coming year:

  1. Nauctis: The Sunken Realm, February 5, 2027
Magic takes us, for the first time, into an aquatic world that promises to carry players through an endless ocean filled with vast cities beneath the waves and gods who command the currents. This new realm will be home to seals, merfolk, homarids, and a few humans brave enough to venture into it.

  2. Kamigawa: Titanbreach, June 4, 2027
This new set brings two iconic Magic: The Gathering worlds crashing together. When an Omenpath opens in the sky above the city of Towashi, the people of Kamigawa must unite against the monsters of Ikoria that threaten to destroy and burn their homes. Players will be able to pilot "mechs" to defend Kamigawa, or side with the behemoths of Ikoria seeking to ravage the plane.

  1. Zhalfir, October 1, 2027
The kingdom of Zhalfir makes its return to Magic: The Gathering as its own plane. A world rich in magic that will be marked by the return of Teferi Akosa, giving a new generation of players the chance to discover the master of chronomancy. This new set will stand out with new mechanics and a unique visual style.
