Everything Coming Your Way for Riftbound in 2027

Legacy, Riftbound's 6th set

  • Release: January 29, 2027

This Riftbound set focuses on embodying a region's spirit through your Champion — the one you'll be playing across from your opponent. Unlike previous sets, Legacy aims to deliver a different play experience, one centred on representing the regions through the set's various mechanics.

This set also introduces a few changes to the base game:

1. 1. Pack contents are changing: a Common card will be replaced by a slot dedicated to Legends and Battlefields. That means 6 Commons instead of 7.

2. 2. The set is designed for Draft.

3. 3. Card templating is improved: a new backing for targets in rules text, plus a new arrow to indicate triggered abilities.

4. 4. Some cards will feature art inspired by classic League of Legends.

5. 5. Changes to the starter boxes: they won't contain any cards you can't get out of booster packs, so players can enjoy them no matter their skill level or familiarity with Riftbound.
