Expected Metagame: July Set Roulette
Constructed Set Roulette happens once a month, and exactly 8 days prior, the legal sets get revealed on our stream. For July, we have:

- Tenth Edition
- Kaladesh
- Worldwake
- Prophecy
- Fifth Dawn
- Odyssey

Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Smuggler's Copter and the first two things that comes to mind when discovering that these are the legal sets. Other notables include: Stoneforge Mystic, Krark-Clan Ironworks, Cranial Plating, Death's Shadow, Scrapheap Scrounger, Torrential Gearhulk and a bunch packages that are likely to form the shell of a lot of decks.
- Entomb and Buried Alive.
- Standstill plus over 10 different manlands!
- Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves and Arbor Elf.
- Aetherworks Marvel and the entire Energy package (minus Rogue Refiner).
- The Kaladesh artifact aggro package. Toolcraft Exemplar, Inventor's Apprentice, Bomat Courier, Scrapheap Scrounger, Vehicles and Unlicensed Disentegration.

Another very important part of the format is that there are at least two of each color combinations of dual lands.

Kaladesh is likely to be a bit too oppressive for the format since by itself creates two very well known and proven decks, RWx Aggro and Marvel.

This is a list from Alec Levy and should've probably been the starting point for everyone. Easily the level 0.

It's unclear which version of Marvel is the best, it likely has to do with what else you are expecting. The loss of Rogue Refiner when comparing with the old Standard lists is quite a big hit because it really hurts your midrange game plan. Forcing you to build the deck a bit more towards spinning Marvel more often. Jace, the Mind Sculptor makes Servant of the Conduit a lot better and is kind of stupid with Marvel.

Non-Kaladesh Decks

With the presence of so many good one drops and opposing manlands, I'm a bit concerned that Standstill is not really playable. You do get Vedalken Shackles and Foil which would all belong in a nice blue control deck and if you're willing to have a bad aggro matchup you might just destroy all the Marvel decks.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing someone on Zombie Infestation, Squee and Buried Alive. But something tells me that's a bit too fair for this format.

Upheaval anyone? With twelve one mana dorks, Everflowing Chalice, Mind Stone and other ramp cards, I'd like to see if that deck is a thing.

Krark-Clan Ironworks is my bet for what will be the most underrated strategy and likely the best performing. Pithing Needle is a one mana artifact you can play as enabler that also just seems REALLY good in the format. Marvel, Vehicles, Equipments, Jace, Scrounger, Manlands ...

I've got an ever better supporting argument by showing you the list published by the reigning Set Roulette champion himself, Fabian Thiele!
